Developmental Milestones

3rd May, 1980

The trustees of Bengal Homoeopharmacy Trust took the preliminary steps towards establishing a full-fledged Homoeopathic College & Hospital—Bengal Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital.

22nd July, 1980

Sri Nani Bhattacharyya, the Hon'ble Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal, personally visited to assess the feasibility and possibilities of the proposed institution.

13th August, 1980

A full-fledged inspection team headed by Chairman Nikhil Das of the Council of Homoeopathic Medicine, W.B., conducted an on-site evaluation to assess the institution's operational viability.

6th September, 1980

The Council of Homoeopathic Medicine, West Bengal, officially granted its seal of approval to the institution to impart Diploma in Medicine & Surgery education.

18th November, 1980

The institution was formally inaugurated by Sri Nani Bhattacharyya, Hon'ble Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal, opening its doors to students and patients.

22nd April, 1981

His Excellency, the Governor of West Bengal, laid the foundation stone of our institution on the vast campus grounds at Ismile, and generously donated Rs. 5000/- for campus development.
